Learning outcomes

- Understand the theory and practice of administering rectal diazepam
- Carry out a simulated procedure under through the guidance from an experienced and qualified trainer
- Follow and act according to the individual support plan and guidelines to administer emergency medication safely and appropriately.
- Gain an understanding of the theory and practical applications of administering buccal midazolam
- Learn to administer buccal midazolam safely according to best practice and in accordance with the individual’s support plan
- Receive a certificate of attendance, which will be valid for one year
